Their priority is the state and its best interest above all else. They work closely with the Governor and Lt. Governor and are second in the line of succession after the Lt. Governor. They plan Town Halls with the Speaker of the Legislature, oversee the Notary applicants with the Judiciary, and serve as the press liaison for the Executive Office. They also serve an advisory role to the Executive Office as they have a unique position that requires them to interface with citizens on a regular basis, giving them a stronger connection to the wants and needs of the citizens”.
