Pardon You? Pardon Commission Seeks To Fill Vacant Seats

Rockford Hills, Los Santos – Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy issued a press release Friday morning putting out the call for those interested in filling vacant seats on the Pardon Commission. Executive Order 016, signed by former Governor Karmen McKenzie, expanded the “number of individuals on the commission as well as who qualifies to be on said commission.” This was an amendment to Executive Order 006, signed by former Governor James Paxton, established “a Pardon Commission with a mandate to review Pardon Applications and case files to make recommendations to the Governor on who is eligible and deserving of an Executive Pardon.”

As overseer of the Pardon Commission, the Lt Governor is looking for individuals who want to “help citizens who have made the effort to change their lives and want to start a new path.” Qualified applicants have until Friday, February 9, 2024 to send their letters of interest via email on the government site to Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy.

Rockford Hills (City Hall) — The Pardon Commission is accepting letters of interest for up to three (3) non-government affiliated individuals who have a valid San Andreas Bar License to fill vacant seats.

As per Executive Order 016, signed by former Governor Karmen McKenzie (Brown), “the Pardon Commission shall be composed of a minimum of three individuals and a maximum of five individuals who have a valid San Andreas Bar Association License. The Pardon Commission must maintain at least one attorney from the Department of Justice, one attorney from the Public Defender’s Office, and one attorney that is unaffiliated / private attorney.” The commission will be overseen by the Lt Governor.

Quote from Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy:
“I am looking to fill 1 to 3 private attorney positions within the Pardon Commission with people who are bright, knowledgeable and passionate about the law and the justice system in San Andreas. I’m looking for people who truly want to work together as a team to help citizens who have made the effort to change their lives and want to start a new path.”

To submit interest, please sent a letter of interest via email to Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy through the Government Website by February 9, 2024.
