Liberty Party, SAFA, Release Statements On DoCL Allegations

Published

on

Los Santos, San Andreas – This evening, two updated statements have been released on the recent controversies revolving around the Department of Commerce and Labor (DoCL). Multiple concerns with this government agency were raised in a Sunday interview with Commissioner Thad Furtaw, Chairman of the Liberty Party.

The first, an exclusive statement to Weazel News, comes from the Chairman himself. Commissioner Furtaw acknowledged that he went into the interview without complete information on the current state of these issues, referring to an apparent email chain started earlier that day by Progress Party leader Representative Becks Lawson to discuss the business prosperity of the South Side neighborhood with DoCL commissioners. Once he was caught up on on the contents of these emails, he issued a retraction of his assertions that the department does not listen to the “will of the American people”.

He further clarified his allegations regarding the ongoing situation between DoCL and the San Andreas Flight Authority (SAFA), stating that he’s been assured the two agencies are conducting ongoing mediations to work toward a mutually agreeable resolution. In a separate press release this evening, Mr. Vladimir Petchenko shared his perspective on the matter as SAFA’s Chief Pilot. Our readers will recall that Weazel News was unable to publish a comment from Mr. Petchenko the night this story originally broke, as he was not on duty and could not be reached by our team. We did, however, receive a statement from SAFA employee and commercial pilot Gregory Drake shedding light on the matter. We’re glad to now be able to publish his statement in its entirety to keep the public informed of these latest developments.
