Stella DayTonight, Saturday, April 29th, EDM artists from throughout the state will be performing at Electric Oasis. The Electric Oasis is an event sponsored by Euphoric Cannabis, Hardcore Comic Store, Porter Electronics, the ArCola Company, Stance Andreas, Ronin Records, and KOKORO. The event will feature DJ Siri, FOXI3, Vapors, Benji, Loomis, and Lucas White. Citizens of San Andreas will be able to come together at Sisyphus Theater for a night of electronic dance music.
Lucas White, the organizer of Electric Oasis, feels that there are many events in the state for non-EDM music and that the genre should get more attention. He decided to organize his own festival to bring people together because he “wants people to rave and get high on molly and shit.” He believes he has a good core of EDM artists for this event, but there are always more artists and music out there that deserve attention and may not be getting it. To fit the aesthetic of the music, there will be an electric forest with flashing lights and other intense lighting effects. Lighting effects may cause discomfort and/or seizures for those with photosensitive epilepsy. Attendee discretion is advised.
When asked about how they feel about the upcoming event, each of the six artists shared with Weazel News the following.
DJ Siri, also known as Iris Riley off the stage, is a DJ with KOKORO. While she plays mixes at events such as Hanami, she is hoping to release original music this year. She is also hoping to bring 80’s and 90’s vibes into her mixes, just like the music she used to watch her father and uncle spin.
“My GF SK is helping me out with EDM setlist for that day. Which I’m super happy to play for everyone! I’m also excited to play at such an event where it’s going to be very festi and a ton of great EDM music will be played.”
FOXI3, previously known as DJ FOXI3, works as an artist through Mythic Studios in addition to being an owner. You may know her from DJ gigs with DJ Spooky Entertainment. Her latest release, Go Down, is available on her Soundcloud. Her music, including her song Da Da Da, can be heard on the Los Santos Underground Radio.
“I’m excited to be a part of Electric Oasis, the EDM festival, on Saturday, April 29th. A huge part of my musical journey since I arrived in Los Santos was discovering EDM genres and styles I had never heard of before from local artists and the artists they listened to. I think it’s important to research other music and what others are doing to find your own style and path in the music industry – especially with electronic music.
I have learned so much about genre-specific instruments, arrangements, and audio effects… the list goes on from people like Vapors, Loomis, Zavvi Zavala, and Lucas White. Creativity is, by definition, the ability to make or otherwise bring into existence something new. But, I believe that is only possible by referencing something that already exists and then making something new.“
Vapors, also known as Oli Cee, is signed with KOKORO. His latest performances include the final Aiko’s House and the first rave from ZVG, Transcendent Rave. You can listen to his music on Soundcloud, including his latest single, Fastlane.
“I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this year’s EDM festival lineup! I’ve got some amazing original tracks in the works that I can’t wait to bring to the stage. Get ready to dance your hearts out and join me as we make some unforgettable memories together!”
Benji, an artist from Ronin Records, has a style Lucas White described as “if EDM had a baby with pop-punk.” Benji’s latest single do you? is available on his Soundcloud, along with his other songs from his album and EP.
Loomis, or Tommy Winston, is an artist with Ronin Records. He has released multiple EPs, including his latest EP, Saibapanku, available for listening to on Ronin Records’ Soundcloud.
“I look forward to seeing you all there! I will be blasting out Saibapanku in its entirety!”
Lucas White is an artist with Ronin Records. His Brutality EP came out about a month ago, but you can also find singles from him as well as his 10-minute beats on his Soundcloud. You may have recently caught Lucas performing at Bando Fest, CLOUT’s Sapphire Soiree, The Hub Block Party, and the March Food Truck Friday.
“I don’t care if one person or a thousand people show up as long as people dance.”
You can find their music on their respective Soundclouds and on the Los Santos Underground Radio. The talented performers and organizer of the event are looking forward to seeing you there Saturday at Sisyphus Theater.
