Paleto, San Andreas – Located on the edge of the Paleto Forest, across from the Sunshine Welcome Center, the brand new Paleto Forest Ranger Station is a spacious and modern building designed to meet the needs of the park rangers who serve and protect our great state parks. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as the main operations center for the San Andreas Parks Department (SAPD), transferring from their previous HQ, Beaver Bush Ranger Station in Vinewood State Park.

The building offers several key features to enhance park ranger operations, including meeting spaces, pet kennels holding cells, evidence storage, and much more. In addition, the station is also LEED certified, constructed with local redwoods as well as other sustainable materials, and designed to minimize the use of natural resources.

Since their founding in 2021, the SAPD have shown their dedication to educating and helping visitors enjoy the time they spend in San Andreas’ state parks. The department is excited to utilize the new station to spearhead their mission of environmental stewardship through events, classes, and other organized activities aimed at enriching the lives of the residents of San Andreas.

“This new station will help usher in a new era of growth for the parks department. Here, we will be better equipped to serve and protect our community with the best possible resources available. We are thrilled to open our new doors this week and look forward to providing park guests with an enhanced visitation experience.”
