Not everything will be lost, though. Photos and notes from existing devices will be safely transferred, ensuring that users won’t lose their personal photo memories or important information.

The Y Platform Overhaul: A Clean Slate and New Features

One of the biggest changes rolling out alongside the iFruit X is the complete reset of Y platform content. Jin Youngjae, owner of popular social media app Y, has been quoted in internal meetings asking,

With this update, all Y post history will be erased, and user handles will be reset. This means a fresh start for everyone—offering the chance to grab a username that may have been previously unattainable. Additionally, Y handles can be changed every 30 days, as long as the chosen handle isn’t in use by someone else.

Beyond the content wipe, Y is introducing several long-requested features, including:

• Profile header photos for a more personalized touch.
• Follow/Block options for better control over interactions.
• View of your blocked user list for added transparency.
• See follow/followers lists separately, including others’ follow counts.
