New Crew, New Overhaul…

State Representative Maxine Finch issued a press release last night updating the state on the legislature’s biggest project yet. You can read it for the photos and details, but the general gist of it is that they’re overhauling much of the state’s current library of past and present legislation to bring clarity to the ever-confusing bills and laws here in San Andreas.

#ChurroQueenOnTop

Totally unbiased, the really great Remy Fitzgerald had her grand opening of the Churro Queen on Wednesday night. It’s basically her churro baby as a business where her and her team of employees sell churro products. Items range from classic churros to savory italian churros to drinkable churro milkshakes. I wanted to know more about the long anticipated grand opening so I reached out to Remy herself and this is what she had to share with the Scoops.

“After months of planning, taste-testing, hard work, some tears and a whole lot of love, Churro Queen is finally open and I could not be more thrilled. As most people know, churros are one of my favorite things in life and after years of people spoiling me with churros its finally time for me to return the favor. Our menu is a bit “outside-the-box” and I’ve really done my best to both encapsulate everything you love about a classic churro, while also pushing the boundaries on flavor. Our menu also includes an old family recipe, my great-great-grandmothers classic Spanish churros, which we’ve stuffed with fresh dulce de leche and I am so proud to be carrying on her legacy in this way. The turnout for the grand opening was overwhelming and I look forward to the future of Churro Queen and feeding everyone all the yummies!”

The Hub Goes Beachside…

The HubCap Cafe had its grand opening on Friday night, with a car show to kick things off. Tons of cars were parked in their large parking lot to be judged by the judges of the car show. In the end, Paco Aqualiar won first place with his Vapid Chino Custom, while Elliot James with a Vapid Peyote Custom, Antonio Ariez with a Declasse Tornado Custom, Smoke with the Emperor Altior, and Danny Murphy with a Bravado Vulture won second to fifth place, respectfully.

With a new beginning, I wanted to know more about what the HubCap Cafe is all about. Thankfully, Deacon Aoki shared his statement with me.

“Hello, my name is Deacon Aoki, and I am a manager at The HubCap Cafe, which is owned by my lovely Fiancé Inanea Bennick. Our vision of this charming, beachside café is to have a relaxing place for all to come grab a bite to eat and take a moment to just be during their busy day in Los Santos. Its theme came from our passion for anything built with wheels that brings a smile to peoples’ faces! Our future plans for this beautiful café are to host weekly Cars & Coffee meets and various other Styled/Themed car shows to bring enthusiasts and citizens together. We hope to see you around!”

All Good Things Come to An End…

With Norman Aoki formally announcing his retirement from hosting events at the Jurassic Rave last night, it can be hard to imagine what the future may hold when there’s been such a long history of events from Norman. After all, he did host 25 large events over the span of a year and a month since The Hub’s birth. That’s not something you can easily forget. Norman will be stepping back from the spotlight and embracing a new chapter in his life, including spending time with his loved ones, pursuing personal passions, and embracing the gift of time itself during his retirement.

“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to be a part of your special moments. It has been an incredible honor and privilege, and I will forever treasure the memories we’ve created together. Here’s to new beginnings, cherished memories, and a future filled with love and laughter.”

From Weazel News to Norman, we wish you a warm Cuh.

It Starts Again…

After a couple of months of silence at the Bohan building, they opened their doors on Friday night with the sounds of FOXI3, the Mad Rabbit, and Konrad Knives. They’re hoping to open up more often again like they used to and will soon be having their Haunted Horror Hunt with a combined cash prize of $50,000 for the top 3 winning teams. It’ll take place at the end of the month on October 25th, so start thinking about who you want on your team of 2 to 4 people.

Protesting For the Sake of…

Also, on Friday night, some of the yeets in the Y app mentioned a protest in regards to a “shortage of doctors” and asking for better pay for doctors, which brings me to my next sentence. In case you missed it, the legislature voted on H.R. 270 on Tuesday, and the bill passed, amending the governmental salary scales. And in case you have concerns about doctor’s pay and things the government works on, you can reach out to the people that won the previous election in the Fed Finder or show up to the next Town Hall and bring up your concerns in person. Just some food for thought.

Various yeets about the protest.

Spooky Spooky Season…

Tis the season to dress extra fun. Although by the time you read this volume of the Scoops, it’ll be a bit too late for week one’s outfit challenge, you’ll have three more weeks to get involved. Make sure you share your photos of your outfits on Y with #OCChallenge for a chance to be featured on Original Clothing’s website.

What the Duck?

Apparently stealing ducks is a thing. Someone yeeted about how easy it is to take ducks from the Mirror Park pond. I hope there’s not an increase in duck-related robberies because of this yeet. San Andreas Parks Department, you seeing this?

Morgan Woods’ yeet.

Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…

Have you ever thought about having your own ice cream bar at home? Well, there’s nothing stopping you from doing that. Why not chill out this week and all the upcoming weeks by enjoying a scoop of ice cream? If you’re lactose intolerant, fill your ice cream bar with sorbet, and you’re set.
