Rockford Hills, San Andreas – In breaking news out of City Hall, Shotguns are allowed for hunting usage in the state. The change comes after years of strict anti-class two policy from the state government.

According to the Executive Office, All Class two’s weapons will remain illegal however, a person who has a gun license and a hunting licence will be able to receive training from an approved gun store in order to receive a Shotgun Licence.

All current Gun Licences only allow for the purchase of Class One side-arms, the only way to receive a shotgun is from a gun store when you have a valid shotgun licence.

Class Two weapons have always been a point of discussion in the state with the importing of Class Two weapons being strictly outlawed for many years now.

Incidents have occured with Class Two weapons before, with an officer stealing class two weapons from the Mission Row Armory in May 2021. There have been other instances where criminal elements inside the state have been able to smuggle in or manufacture shotguns, however these incidents are rare.

The criminal code has been amended today in order to clarify the weapon classes and expand upon possession laws. Weazel has already received some public concern saying that there is no mention of safety training anywhere in the new amendments to the criminal code.

Weazel has also received messages of support with the change with one person, who wished to remain anonymous saying;

Bringing Class Two [weapons] back into the state is the best thing this Governor has done, We are stronger than the commies with our Second Amendment

You can full the full statement from the Executive Office here:

There are very strict requirements around the licensing and use of Shotguns. We do believe these strict requirements will help mitigate improper use of Shotguns. Other types of Class 2’s – such as automatic firearms and illegally modified firearms – are still illegal. Shotguns have been imported into the state for Hunting purposes, they should not be used in any other manner than their intended use. A shotgun may not be brandished inside of city limits.

As always, the Executive takes Abuse of Office very seriously, and anyone found to be Abusing their office in any way will be charged to the fullest extent of the law.

A Gun License does only grant permission to buy Class One weaponry. In order to purchase a Shotgun, an individual must attend a training course at an approved Gun Store, must have a valid Firearms License, and must have a valid Hunting License. A list of approved Gun Stores can be found here: [link: Memo – Gun Licensing for Shotguns]

The license which restricts access to Shotguns is known as a Shotgun License. There will not be any license for other Class 2 as they are currently illegal.

    Why bother with this “spectacle” if it’s only for hunting, it’s most likely gonna be overpriced compared to our rifles while it could serve better usage for self defense!
