On April 13th, the Scarlet Valkyries hosted their first-ever “Knock-Out Night” Event. This Single-Elimination Fight Tournament took place at their new compound in La Mesa. All money made from the entry fees of this event were donated to SAFR and the winner received a Fully Upgraded LCC Hexer! Today we will summarize the show for those who missed it or want to re-live the event!

Fight 1: Oats vs Hydra

We started the show off with a Showstopper that many in attendance felt was the best fight of the night! The fight started out with a little awkwardness with Oats getting in some hits that some considered cheap shots, but Hydra fought back with all their might, in the end Oats came out on top after hitting Hydra with a huge mid-air punch for the Knock-out! Fight 2: Mattie vs Sadie

Fight 2 had the Scarlet Valkyries President Sadie up against Mattie Belmont, who those of you familiar with San Andreas’ Fight community will be very familiar with. Sadie put up a hell of a fight against the veteran fighter, and they also had the home-turf advantage, but ultimately their efforts were not enough to overcome Mattie. (Mattie wins and Advances)

Fight 3: Jonah vs Linus

Our 3rd fight was a very big change of pace from the previous 2. Both fighters are much less experienced than the previous 4 competitors. This however led to a very intense fight, with very little technical strikes or dodging. Both fighters put their all behind every punch, exchanging blows in the corner and tanking every single shot. Maybe Linus thought that the Stella Melon™  Rubber Pool ring would provide some extra protection but unfortunately it did not. (Jonah wins and advances)

Fight 4: Oats vs Izzy

In the first fight of Round 2 Oats takes on their partner Izzy in another hard-hitting affair! Oats was the subject of much ridicule after every hit landed and taken during this fight, but despite this, came out on top. (Oats wins and Advances)

Fight 5: Rae vs Collector

Both fighters received a bye into the second round and they both proved why they deserved it! Rae came in swinging with heavy hits and The Collector was speedy and evasive, dodging most of the haymakers that came their way. After a lot of back and forth, Speed overcame power and The Collector emerged victorious! But Rae’s chainsaw had something else to say about the result! (Collector wins and advances)

Fight 6: Mattie vs Jonah

The Skill difference was very apparent in this fight. Jonah’s previous strategy of full-on offense was not as effective against the Veteran Mattie as it was against Linus. After some toying, Mattie busted out a move referred to as “Calamity Kicks” and repeatedly kicked Jonah’s Knee until it buckled, taking him out of the tournament. (Mattie Wins and Advances to the Finals)

Fight 7: Oats vs Collector

Oats was once again the subject of Ridicule in this match, with The Collector and members of the crowd joking that Collector was going to “Collect” Oats’ Tattoos if they win, with other members of the crowd saying that Collector should take Oat’s (Alleged) Toupée. Both fighters gave it their all to earn a spot in the finals, but Collector’s speed was not enough and they fell to Oats (Oats wins and Advances to the Finals)

FINALS: Oats vs Mattie (Best of 3)

Showrunners made a Last-Minute decision to make the final round a best of 3! Mattie confidently proclaimed that he would only need 2 rounds but Oats was Determined to walk away with the win! Mattie’s Round 1 Strategy was much like his strategy against Jonah, with repeated kicks wearing Oats down, until a big kick launched Oats into the corner for the KO (Mattie Wins 1-0)

Round 2 was a little fairer, with Mattie mostly forgoing the kick strategy that brought him this far. Oats’ strong effort led to a reduced level of ridicule from the crowd but the support wasn’t enough and Mattie knocked Oats out again for the clean sweep! (Mattie Wins 2-0)

WINNER: Mattie!

And that’s the show! Congratulations to Mattie on the win and high praise to everyone who put their body on the line for our entertainment and the chance to win a Hexer! Thank you to Scarlet Valkyries Member TG for organizing the show! If you’re looking to take part in or watch the next show live, keep an eye out on social media for an announcement!
