Annie’s Angles Volume 2

Through my work at Weazel, I have written a variety of articles. However, most of my time in the city is spent exploring and gathering information. Unfortunately, most of these things are not long enough (and I’m not very good at waffling to make up word counts) to warrant their own articles.

This is a collation of the things I’ve seen, heard, and learned. I will try and make these as often as I can, so they will be out when they’re out, and you’ll learn to prefer it that way. This second installment will have things dating back a number of months, and are things that I have seen, interesting people I have met, and more.

Haunted Car

So, in late October (the 29th), one of my cars started acting funny. It’s a Sancy Bordeaux, purchased new from Premium Deluxe Motorsports a few months back. When I was driving it, I noticed that the steering wheel was tugging violently to the left. On one occasion, this happened on a freeway and pulled me into oncoming traffic.

Naturally, this spooked me a little! I phoned a police officer, as I wanted to check it hadn’t been tampered with. The lovely Dave Mace came to check it out and found nothing wrong. After this, I went to a mechanic, who also found nothing wrong with the vehicle, mechanically at least (I had scraped some paint on it). Afterward, as a last-ditch effort, I phoned George Mallard at Cerberus Paranormal. He came down and found what appeared to be the presence of a spirit in the vehicle. A few weeks later, we were back with the car, and they performed a cleansing ritual. The car has driven normally ever since! So, if you’re having trouble with ghosts or ghoulies, reach out to them!

Y the Beef?

On the 28th of December, some beef popped up on Y. It was related to Harry Kennedy’s new PolitiPoll and his relation to the current [as of 12-30-2023] legislator, Maxine Finch. Harlow Greene, the unofficial administrative assistant to Damien Key, challenged Harry’s bias. Harry Kennedy delivered on his promise to share the results of the poll with the public.

Canals and Library

On the 18th of December, I went to the southside to take pictures of the Lamb brothers for their Christmas pictures. When I was down there, I saw this graffiti:

I don’t really know what it means, but it may have something to do with the ‘gentrification’ of the southside. Kate Beers of DHS (also known as The Collector) commented on this on Y, and noted that some of the occupants of the canals have had to be rehomed by DHS. You do have to wonder how much money was plunged into the enhancements made and where that money came from. This op-ed can be found here.

Tow Truck Troubles

You know how sometimes you leave your house, and you think it’s going to be a normal day? I don’t know why I still think that, given that I live in Los Santos, but, y’know. Anyway, I pulled out of the driveway, and there was just… a big pile of cinderblocks right in the middle of the street.

I don’t know how they got there, but the lovely people from Public Works came and managed, somehow, to use one tow truck to push them onto the back of another one. So, I guess if you have strange issues that need fixing, just phone Public Works by dialing 211! As a side note to this, our C.O.O Erin Murphy has been appointed the Director of Public Works, so go Erin!

A Little Side Ramble

As a side note from me, it’s been nice to be out and about more this month. For a lot of you who know me, you’ll know I work at the hospital. Some of you joke that I don’t leave it much, but I get time away. I love all of you for your concern, and it’s made me feel a lot happier than I usually do throughout the winter. So, I guess just keep checking in on your friends. There’s nothing wrong with the occasional wellness check, and they probably appreciate it more than you know.
