Sandy Shores, San Andreas – The Offroad Car Show on May 13th was an exciting collaboration. Bergowitz Backcountry Autos, Knight Imports, and Slideways Customs teamed up to show off and give away a new trophy truck they have been working on: a Gallivanter Baller Raid. Making 570 horsepower at the wheels with 530 lb-ft gives this 5.2 L supercharged V8 a small boost over the regular Baller Sport you may see driving around Los Santos. Other upgrades and changes made to the Raid are its reinforced chassis, upgrade shocks, new composite body, roll cage, relocated radiators, and intercooler connected to an air scoop on the roof of the SUV. In addition, the luxury interior has been removed and stripped for weight and now sports a new rally-inspired design with bucket seats and a carbon fiber dash. All this allows you to speed through Sandy Shores Dunes or up Mount Chiliad for that weekend trip.

To win the car, contestants’ vehicles were judged by five judges.

A range of vehicles was brought to the event, but there seemed to be a favor to the Declasse Draugur. A surprise was a Fraction Donk brought by Jamey Johnson. At first thought, you would think the vehicle isn’t an offroader, but after having him drive over a car and also up a hill. I, Niko McReary, call the Fraction Donk a Certified Offroader with an amazing approach and descent angles. Another interesting vehicle from the event was a lime green Bravado Rat-Loader brought by Dion Griggs. They have owned it for 20 years and have made a few minor modifications to make it their own. It was a nice little truck. Enough with the honorable mentions. Let’s get into the winners.

First place

Coco Gautreaux – Declasse Yosemite Rancher
Customized to be a Pink Machine offroader, a light bar was installed on the front and roof, along with the doors removed and the roof replaced with Tube Frames. The vehicle also had a metal undertray to take beating from rocks, just like how the truck beat the competition and took the judges’ hearts, winning the show in a landslide with 43 points—six more than second place, letting Coco take home the Baller Raid.

Second Place

Dagney Derose – Declasse Draugur
While not as custom as the Rancher, this trophy truck had a paint job that stood out to the judges—a rainbow swirl of a mess that came together very nicely. The loud exhaust and massive V8 probably also helped secure Dagney in second place, along with a $30k cash prize and 36 points awarded by the judges.

Third Place Winner, Geoffrey Davenport, with the ANNIA Hellion. (Photo Credit: Niko McReary)

Third Place

Geoffrey Davenport – ANNIS Hellion
Painted in a dark blue, this Hellion has had its hood removed to fit a Turbo Charger pulled from a junkyard semi-truck. Besides that, the vehicle is stock apart from upgrade brakes and suspension and, of course, a built engine for that massive turbo. Geoffery took home a $20k cash prize with 35 points awarded by the judges.

Fourth Place Winner, Blue Bionic, with his Schyster Velox Raid. (Photo Credit: Niko McReary)

Fourth Place

Lucas Lloyd – Schyster Velox Raid
The Hero of Los Santos showed off his custom Velox used to fight crime. What started life as a standard Schyster Velox has now been lifted with a roll cage, chassis reinforcements, and plenty of other tools built in that we aren’t allowed to disclose. Painted in his Bluionic Blue and white colour scheme, Blue Bionic took home a $10k cash prize and 34 points from the judges.

Fifth Place Winner, Sabrina Mirrano, with the Pfister Comet Safari. (Photo Credit: Niko McReary)

Fifth Place

Sabrina Mirrano – Pfister Comet Safari
A personal favorite from the Car Show, this Pfister has retro German styling we all love, a lifted suspension, an exo cage, and an internal roll cage. It comes equipped with guns mounted on each fender; for legal reasons, they are “decommissioned.” This vehicle is perfect for any James Bond wanna-be. Sabrina took home $5k and came away with 34 points from the judges, the same as Blue Bionic. Sadly, they lost the coin flip done by Cooper.

I would like to thank Cooper Bergowitz for inviting Weazel News out and letting me judge the vehicles. Readers, thank you for reading my first article for Weazel News.
