VINEWOOD (WZL) – George Kuznetsov and Chris Solace have jointly announced that they have left their respective departments for roles in the newly established U.S. Marshals field office here in Los Santos. The pair have both been in service effectively since the original formation of the state police before the break away into the Los Santos Police and Blaine County Sheriff’s Departments.

They have gone on to announce they are joining the U.S. Marshal Service, a federal police force which enforces judicial law across all American states and territories. This role is not to be confused with ‘Federal Air Marshals’, which are TSA agents and Counter-Terrorism operatives. The Governor’s office has issued a press release replacing Ret. Chris Solace with Acting Commissioner Thad Furtaw (SALP).

It was not an easy decision, but it was one I think is necessary. I’ve had a wonderful career here in the state, starting about a year ago. I was promoted to Lieutenant with the San Andreas State Police and since then I’ve gone on to launch and become the first Captain of the Major Crimes Division. Made some incredible friendships along the way and served the public to the best of my ability.

Ret. George Kuznetsov

Chris Solace has had a storied career, starting as a Sergeant in the original state police before joining the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office as its head. Most recently, he also served as Commissioner of the fledgling San Andreas State Police (not to be confused with the department that predated the LSPD and BCSO).

Being the leader in this state is not an easy task, it is something that weighs on you, is it something you lose sleep over, and it is something at times lose sanity over. Through my time working with the [departments], I learned quite a few things. I learned that being a leader is not as cracked up to be and a lot of people rely on you and if you are not in the right headspace you might let people down and people might die. I learned that no matter what you want to do in life, and how you are safe you want to make this state, there’s other people who will always challenge you because they don’t want the same things.

Ret. Chris Solace

Weazel News wishes the pair a bright future in their new roles and look forward to the fruits of their new work as U.S. Marshals.
