Chris Solace Named Sheriff in Change of Command Ceremony

DEL PERRO (WZ) — Former Sheriff Chris Price has handed over the reins of Sheriff to Former Undersheriff Chris Solace in a ceremony on Saturday.

Chris Solace, known for his hard work and dedication has been named as Acting Sheriff after the announcement that Chris Price would be stepping down from the role. In a ceremony on Saturday, Acting Sheriff Solace was ‘sworn in’ as Acting Sheriff until the official appointment by the Governor is made. The Ceremony was a somber occasion, shadowed by the recent death of Sergeant Brian Archer who was murdered earlier this week. However, it was foremost a ceremony to recognize Former Sheriffs Price’s accomplishments in the establishment of the department, and a celebration of the future of the department under the leadership of Acting Sheriff Solace.
