Legislation Watch

No movement amongst the pieces of Legislation this week, H.R. 041 has been voted on however has not been signed by the Governor into law. H.R.’s 34 and 44 are still under debate.

Weazel News understands that talk of an impeachment has been ongoing over the past week, we don’t know who is the target of the impending impeachment or what the charges are. We will bring you more as soon as we know. 

Public Defenders Office

A message from the State Public Defender:

The State Public Defender’s Office is recruiting the following positions:
-Public Defender
-Paralegal
The job is to represent clients without private representation in criminal court proceedings. This involves representation through all stages of proceedings following the arrest. Work related to cases is done under the general supervision of the State Public Defender, however there is a wide leeway given to exercise individual and independent judgement. Case work will include filing demands, subpoenas, and motions; preparing for hearings; legal research; and preparation & attendance of trials. Applicants must be willing to work as team, and effectively work with other government departments.
Knowledge of criminal law, and court proceedings would be necessary for any applicant. Applicants for an attorney position must also possess a San Andreas Bar Certification.

San Andreas Flight Administration

A new Public Message was issued by Jack Callow, the Chief Pilot of SAFA. In the memo the department has released publicly four airport diagrams for the four airports now operating under SAFA jurisdiction. They include

  • Los Santos Intl. Airport (SIA)
  • Sandy Shores Airport (SDY)
  • McKenzie Airfield (located in Grapeseed) and the new;
  • Perico Airfield (PER)

The department has also announced a record 220 pilots with licences in the state. 

SAFA is looking for more people to join their Air Traffic Control team, with jobs scattered across all timezones and Ground Crew work also available. The application can be found here: https://forms.gle/jedNNHMCkarLzfwx6
