Today the government opened the first International Flight, taking our citizens to Cayo Perico. We will have a separate article about the island.

Four pieces of legislation have been voted on by the legislature in it’s 2nd Session. Here is the result:

All bills have just been signed into law by Governor Paxton.

A new piece of legislation has been introduced by Representative Jackson.

H.R. 039 Government Salary and Pay Schedule Act of 2021.

This bill amends H.R. 003
It increases Hourly Positions pay by $10 except those of the highest grade in some departments
It decreases pay for the Governor and increases pay for the Lt. Governor
It institutes two new roles:
- Chief of Staff for the Office of the Governor; and
- Assistant to a State Representative
A court clerks pay rate has been doubled
