A new piece of legislation has been introduced by Representative Jackson.
H.R. 039 Government Salary and Pay Schedule Act of 2021.
- This bill amends H.R. 003
- It increases Hourly Positions pay by $10 except those of the highest grade in some departments
- It decreases pay for the Governor and increases pay for the Lt. Governor
- It institutes two new roles:
- Chief of Staff for the Office of the Governor; and
- Assistant to a State Representative
- A court clerks pay rate has been doubled
- There has been no vote on this piece of legislation
