LOS SANTOS (WZ) — Today in a change of direction, the SA LEO agencies have released crime statistics to Weazel News. These statistics cover a vast number of charges laid by the both of the LEO Agencies broken down on a day to day basis from the 13th of March until the 31st of May.

This graph is all-encompassing so we have broken it down into sections.

Violence-Related Charges

Violence Related charges range from Robbery, Kidnapping, Murder and Battery.

Trends on this graph show a slow but steady rise in the number of charges laid by the departments, the record being just above 30 which was reached only a couple of days ago.

There has been a general trend of complaints online about violence acts, along with threats and a higher risk of violence on the south side of Los Santos.

Traffic Offence Charges

Traffic Offences range from a DUI to Speeding or Failure to Yield.

This graph shows a general rise related to traffic offences, typically on the weekends. This rise could be attributed to the police force having more numbers and presence on the streets allowing them to stop more offenders more often. Twitter commonly has users complaining about Go-Postal and Garbage workers speeding and breaking traffic laws, and since March we have seen police pulling over these vehicles more and more frequently than usual.

Property Related Charges

Property offences range from Firearm offences, to Larceny, to Vandalism, and Grand Theft Auto. These types of offences seem to have risen over the last month or so, being more common in May than in April and March. On the 4-5th of May, nearly 40 property offence charges were laid in the state, an all time record for a category on a single day.

Substance Related Charges

Substance Related charges range from Possession of the drug, or it’s paraphernalia, to Distribution or manufacturing.

Charges like this are typically rare, and from March until May were extremely uncommon, however on the 4-5th of May Cannabis laws saw the closure of dispensaries and a crack down of people who use the drug for any reason, with drug laws being stagnant with change we can assume most of these charges stem from the possession/ distribution of cannabis.

Miscellaneous Charges

Miscellaneous charges cover multiple sectors from terrorism to financial offences to offences against the state or offences against justice.

Overall miscellaneous charges also show the general increase in crime activity. This could be attributed to the increase of police presence or a general increase in hostility on the streets with gang activity and evasion of justice being more commonplace than in march.
