LOS SANTOS (WZL) — Last week Weazel continued the monthly tradition of asking the public their thoughts on our state government and their policies. Here are the results!

Governor Approval Ratings

With a new Governor in the chair, the first set of approval ratings are critical to explore what a month’s worth of work has produced in the minds of the people of this state.

Results: Approve 35.7%; Undecided 38.1%; Disapprove 26.2%;

This is the highest approval rating for a Governor since February but nowhere near the height of the Paxton Administration.

Government Satisfaction

Government satisfaction has dropped since the Tod Administration by roughly -9%. We can sort this decline of disapproval into two groups. The first being on-going tensions with hacker group ‘Mutiny’ and a group of concerned citizens saying promises have been broken surrounding H.R. 127.

Results: Very Satisfied 14.3%; Satisfied 40.5%; Unsatisfied 28.6%; Strongly Unsatisfied 16.7%

Overall Breakdown

A majority of the dissatisfaction with the government and disapproval of the governor come from the Dan White voting base with 30.8% of Dan White supporters stating they are strongly unsatisfied with the government. Only 7.7% of Dan White voting respondents approve of the current Governor.

Do you Trust your Government?

We found that only 50% of respondents trust the Government and 42.9% said no. 7.2% gave other options. An overwhelming Majority of McKenzie voters trust the government while a overwhelming majority (84.6%) of Dan White voters say they don’t trust the Government.

Should Judges appointed before they are eligible be forced to resign until they are eligible?

66.7% of respondents agree with this statement and 31% disagree. 2,4% offered a different approach. There are no partisan divisions with this answer.

Do you believe the Government should do more to prevent on-going Cyber Attacks in the state?

85.7% agreed with this statement. There are no partisan divisions with this answer.

Do you support the Pardon Committee board being expanded from Three members to Five board members?

85.7% also agreed with this statement. There are no partisan divisions with this answer.

Other issue the Government should address?

Other issues brought up by respondents are once again, expanding government to include Mayors. Abolishing the Death Penalty has been repeatedly called by respondents.
