In an effort to promote transparency and improve public relations, the San Andreas State Police (SASP), Los Santos Police Department (LSPD), and Blaine County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) have announced new measures to assist the public in filing complaints against law enforcement officers.
Effective immediately, Mission Row Police Department (MRPD), Vinewood Police Department (VPD), and Sandy Shores Sheriff’s Office (SSSO) will now have dedicated staff near the front desk to specifically to help citizens submit their complaints. Those seeking to file a complaint will be required to provide their full name, Civilian Serial Number (CSN), and phone number to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.

For those looking to submit Internal Affairs (IA) reports, it is still strongly encouraged you meet with an LEO Supervisor in person. This will allow supervisors to ask the necessary questions and ensure no details are overlooked with the initial reporting. Additionally, a new system has been implemented to send email confirmations of IA reports directly to your phone’s email app. Law enforcement is hopeful this will speed up response times and make it easier for the public to track complaints they’ve submitted.
These change reflect a broader commitment to facilitating open communication between the community and its law enforcement agencies.
