Stella DayAnother One Bites the Dust…
It’s actually still the same one biting the dust. After stepping down from being the Secretary of the Legislature, Artemis Blackthorne has also resigned from the Office of State Representative. This means we’re about to experience what is called a Special Election, which hasn’t happened in our state since two years ago with the 3rd Congress. This was way back when Welshy, formally known as Hudson Welsh, was a state representative. What a throwback! Basically, a Special Election happens when there’s a vacant seat in the legislature, and there’s still over half a term left. Most recently, when there has been a vacant seat, someone has been nominated and appointed for the position since the vacancy happened after the halfway point in a term. Registration opens on the 7th, so get planning if you’re interested in running. I’m curious to see who will be up for the role and who will actually be elected.
Actually Another One…
After almost six months of service, State Attorney Anthony Lankowski officially resigned from his position as State Attorney with the State of San Andreas. Jessica Ashbrook has been assigned by Lankowski as the Acting State Attorney for the Department of Justice while the DOJ finds a new nomination to fill the role soon. Any and all letters of interest should be emailed to Governor Damien Key.
Not Cursed… Yet…
I forgot the movie premiere was happening so I assumed I had missed it, which could be a curse in bad memory. As it turned out, though, they did two screenings during the premiere on Friday night, which meant I was able to attend and watch the movie! There were free What’s Poppin’? kettle corn and ArCola drinks for everyone. I found the movie interesting and fun. It was fun to see who was in the movie as new characters popped up on screen. There’s still uncertainty when it comes to distribution, so I can’t recommend how to watch this movie if you weren’t at the premiere yet. Hopefully, we’ll know one day, but your best bet is to probably ask someone from the Bear House as the film was a production of theirs. They’re doing auditions for upcoming film projects as well, so I can’t wait to see what else gets produced.
Cleanest Party…
What do you get when you have a party and a car wash at the same time? A very clean party! Cars were looking fresh while the Certified Lover Boys, Mykie Romance, and Cookies got everyone dancing. Ohana Car Wash offers a membership for unlimited car washes, or if you’re more down for every once in a while, they also have single washes available. Since it’s Harlow Greene’s business, they use and sell biodegradable soap. They also have emotional support turtle and orca plushies that benefit the Tortuga Marine Conservation. The vibes were great at the Ohana Car Wash grand opening. If you ever want to get your lowrider freshen up, they have a soft spot for that type of car, but they’ll wash any kind of vehicles, including wheelchairs.
Evans and Devlin Sitting In A Tree… H-E-L-L O-M-G! Maybe?
Remember that wild mess last month where former State Representative Yuri Devlin killed Joshua Evans at the Occupation Courthouse after a trial? Well, today was the trial of the former State Representative for that murder situation. To understand the importance of Joshua Evans, Maxine Finch wrote about him over at Shout News. To understand how the court found Yuri at the end of the trial today, Becks Lawson wrote about it over at Shout News. You can also watch the broadcast from Weazel News. There have been times when someone is found guilty in the courtroom and is left to rot in prison, only to be murdered in prison. Could this lead to another one of those times?

Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…
As the weather starts to warm up from winter to spring, it’s a good time to consider going out to meet up with friends and hang out. Lounge around on some floaties or visit a shop. It’s important to spend some quality time with those you love, especially after months of overcast and gloomy days from the winter. Go out and have fun!
Have a Stella Day and a hardcore night, San Andreas!
