Alderney City, Alderney – A baffling series of strange deaths across Alderney City has been the primary focus of local and state law enforcement for the last few months. Dubbed the “Divine Art Murders” by Alderney Detective Marius Eriksen, not much is known about the details of these incidents, which have been kept under wraps to protect the investigation. What we do know is that police connected the deaths of five individuals they say were killed in a manner that suggests the same perpetrator for each.

While the names of the victims were withheld to protect the privacy of their grieving families, our reporters were approached by the husband of one suspected victim: Harden Gaines, a lead engineer at Kakagawa. Speaking with Mr. Gaines’ spouse, Damian Martinek, Weazel News learned the body was recovered by law enforcement last month in an alleyway behind Starfall Lounge. “My Harden, he loved the open mic nights down at Starfall. He’d sign up to perform every week and hoped to one day quit his job to be a full-time comic. He was working way too hard, and Kakagawa didn’t really appreciate his loyalty and commitment. I just wish he’d been able to realize his dream before he was taken from us!”

Mr. Martinek said that detectives approached him at work to deliver the news, informing him they could not release the body due to exigent circumstances. “They said he was murdered, and it was connected to an ongoing investigation involving more victims! I can’t believe Harden would get mixed up in anything dangerous, but they wouldn’t tell me what was going on. It was only when I saw their press conference the next day that I connected it to these ‘Divine Art Murders’, whatever they are. It’s gotta be connected, doesn’t it? Why else wouldn’t they let me see my husband?” Based on the dates provided by Mr. Martinek, it’s believed that Gaines was the third victim out of five announced by the ACPD thus far.

After receiving no updates to the investigation for the last several weeks, whoever’s responsible for these murders seems to be lying low. No new deaths have been attributed to this case, and detectives appear to be at an impasse. When reached for comment on this story, Detective Eriksen would only say that his team is continuing to investigate all possible leads, and anyone with further information should contact law enforcement immediately.  A source at the Sheriff’s Office that spoke on the condition of anonymity believes these murders may be connected to three more deaths across the country in Las Venturas last year, though there has been no official confirmation at this time. It remains to be seen if this killer will strike again, or if these murders will be resigned to the annals of unsolved mysteries.
