The Gays are Crossing Here…

The brick crosswalks around Legion Square got a fresh coat of rainbow paint in honor of Pride Month. While I’m gay 24/7/365, I do appreciate seeing pretty colors on the road for 30 days. You’ll also find a little bit of gay at the weird intersection of San Andreas Avenue, Peaceful Street, and Las Lagunas Boulevard. Happy Pride!

Shots for Chairs…

On Wednesday night, I was driving around the city looking for cars and answering calls. For some strange reason, every time I left HQ, there would be a shooting not long after. I would drive back to see how everyone was doing, but I missed both shootings. If I got a nickel for every time a shooting happened minutes after I left HQ, I’d have two nickels. It’s not a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice in one night. Luckily, you can read about what happened because LS Diatribes covered the shootings. It mentioned something about chairs for a wedding or a lack of chairs. After talking with people, it sounds like there’s more to this, and I’m still confused.

Please Help…

Carmen is still missing, and it’s been weeks! Vincent Darling, Eddie Euckland, and Domi Sekrit have been searching for Carmen since she was first reported missing. I remember hearing about her disappearance when I was on duty at Public Works the day it happened. I didn’t think she would be missing for so long. Eddie and Domi have done the bulk of the work by going on multiple search parties, riddle-solving, and more to try to get a clue.

According to Darling, Invest Solutions reached out one day to ask questions but was never hired on. Invest Solutions told Daily Globe that there’s now a reward for providing any information regarding Carmen. While a reward can motivate people to help, Darling says that he was given multiple “leads” from the private investigator that didn’t match up or lead anywhere, suggesting that people were giving false information for the money. If you have any information, please reach out to Darling at 8397553168 or Eddie Euckland at 8357888454. Please help find Carmen; I miss her loads.

Courtroom Reality Show…

Just kidding, well, sorta. My colleague and dear friend, Annie, is starting a new series, called Cameras in the Courtroom here at Weazel. They’ll basically include a recording of the hearing and a TL;DW of it, just in case you don’t have the time to watch the whole thing. I think it’s great because I can still be informed about what’s happening even if I miss a hearing or trial. The first one came out earlier this week regarding Raeven Paynter, and based on the TL;DW, it looks like she was found guilty of reckless endangerment and breaking and entering. The second video also came out about covering Ivan Sinclair-McFall’s court case. If you want to see court cases live in person, the new courthouse is located on Occupation Avenue between Lower Power Street and Elgin Avenue.

In Other News…

Literally talking about something from the LS Distribes. They published an article by a guest writer about their opinion of a necessary evil: law enforcement. I find it interesting since I saw a ton of tweets about cops and bacon the other night. Do you agree with Candice Hillroy? What do you think?

You Have Spoken (sorta)…

Voted by the people of San Andreas, the results from the Weazel Choice Awards will be announced on Saturday, the 10th, at 6PM. There will be a broadcast so you can watch it live on Weazel from your phone from wherever you are, even the toilet!

ICYMI…

I don’t know how you would miss it, but in case you did, the housing market is officially open! It opened on Friday night, and the realtor’s office was swamped with inquiries. Dynasty Realty’s website is live with the available listings posted. You can see what the cost is and what kind of floorplan it has. Don’t worry if you don’t see the house you dream about listed; this is just the first wave of the open market.

Are You Creative?

The San Andreas State Police is looking for design submissions for their official skateboard. They’ve partnered with Backside Skateboards, and they’re not the only ones that have. The Rangers have their own skateboards too, but that was a while back. The design contest ends on Thursday the 8th, so get going on designing and submit your design before it’s too late.

Public Works is Hiring…

That’s it. They’re hiring. Go fill out an application at their HQ in La Mesa if you’re interested. Meet the crew and see how things work around the place while you wait to hear back. Oh, and you will be background checked, so no felonies.

DoCL is Hiring…

That’s it. They’re hiring. Go apply if you like paperwork and customer service.

New Management, Same Great Taste…

The ArCola Company is now under new management. Wallace Riggs gave the business to Niko McReary and Billie Eagley after fleeing the state for reasons I’m not sure of. If you’re looking to collab with ArCola, you can reach out to either of them and start sharing your drink ideas.

Sunwaved…

There was a huge music festival, Sunwave, in Sandy Shores yesterday. Featuring 14 artists from KOKORO, people danced (and maybe did drugs) while their ears were blessed. By the end of the night, KOKORO announced that Jason Tanners had officially signed to the label. There were also a ton of vendors and sponsors there. Public Works also sold the Sunwave Cozy Cactuses, which were only available yesterday. Seeing so many people come out to support the artists was pretty cool. BIG CAMERA CONTENT was also there, and they will release a recap video soon. Definitely go watch it even if you were there in person because you’ll probably want to relive it.

Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…

Summer is here. Stay hydrated by drinking delicious beverages. There’s plenty of non-alcoholic options, such as water, juice, tea, soda, and mocktails. While I don’t have a specific one to recommend to you, I hope you try at least a little of everything from businesses throughout the state. Go out there and support small businesses while staying hydrated in the hot summer weather!

Have a Stella Day and a hardcore night, San Andreas!
