Spooky Cars…

I showed up two hours late to the car show, but really, I was on time because I wasn’t there to enter my vehicle into the car show. I was just there to see people and cars and hang out. There was definitely a Halloween theme to the looks of the cars. Three winners took home first, second, and third place. I know nothing about cars, but they probably deserve it.

Dante Gravina and his Hellfire and Paco Aguilar with his Chino Custom got honorable mentions. Sabrina Mirrano’s green flamey Hellion won third place. Kazuhiro Rozales’ Vapid Razor won second place. And finally, Spooky Hernandez and his Joker-themed Buccaneer Custom won first place. Congratulations everyone!

Spooky Stories…

Tortuga Marine Conservation had their spooky little Fireside Frights on Friday night. A surprise guest shared spooky stories with everyone around the fire. The surprise guest was no other than Jonathan Swizz. What sort of spooky stories did this man share? They were none other than tales from the deep seas with shipwrecks and knocking underwater. At the end of storytime, Harlow Greene announced the release of the brand-new Tortuga skateboards. It looks like you’ll have to complete quests to collect points to earn your skateboard. How cool!

Spooky Nature Vibes…

The San Andreas Parks Department hosted their Halloween Bonanza over the weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. I spent some of my down time there, and it was a nice vibe. The vendors there were chilling, and the people were chilling. I found myself going back to hang out even if nothing eventful was really happening.

Not-So-Spooky Women in Music…

Last night, Heavy Lifting hosted an event revolving around women. It was a breast cancer awareness fundraiser concert where a portion of the proceeds went to Pillbox Medical Center to help with research and patient care. Remy was even there with Remington’s to sell an exclusive 14k rose gold jewelry set with 100% of the sales going to SAMS. There were loads of pink, including the building itself, the Richman Hotel in Rockford. Neat!

Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…

Soup! What better time to talk about soup than while being sick for over a week? As the weather starts to get chilly, why not cook up some nice soup or chili to share with friends? Maybe bake a side of bread, too. You can ask your parents for their favorite recipes and see if you can master them. Worst case scenario, you put your failed attempts in the sink and head down to your favorite cafe or restaurant for a nice bowl of hot soup. Stay warm!

Have a Stella Day and a hardcore night, San Andreas!
