CITY HALL (WZL) — Jordan Malone (P) joins the legislature at the 5th representative, filling the vacant seat left by Mohn Nash who suddenly resigned to join the Peace Corp. This gives the progress party three representatives in the legislature, giving them a majority to push any progress party bills without being halted. Malone will complete the rest of former representatives Nash’s term.

Jordan Malone is well known for the Malone Modeling Agency, which has worked with big-name stars in the city. He has also worked at Ari’s Deli. Malone’s political career started back in December with an unsuccessful attempt in the winter legislative race. After this race he was then taken under the wing of Representative Becks Lawson (P) working as a legislative assistant for the current congress. He is named on documents as assisting with the Weed Freedom Act and the Controlled Substances Dispensary Act which both passed the legislature.

Today’s appointment is a critical one for the Progress Party, as it allows the party members to pass critical bills without contest before the end of this congress. We are now only a month out from the election in early May so time is ticking on the current congress. It’s expected at some point in the near future that the parties will be pre-selecting their candidates for the upcoming election so stay with Weazel News as we learn who will be running for Governor in the Spring General Election.
