Our new Lt. Governor

After the shocking resignation of Josh Ford, Governor Paxton was quick to find a replacement.

Governor Paxtons Chief of Staff, Karmen Strike, was nominated shortly after the resignation.

At 8:40pm (est) on the 10th we learned of the confirmation of the nomination. With fours affirming votes to one dissenting vote confirming Karmen Strike to be the next Lt. Governor of our state.

Lt. Governor

Weazel News believes that the Lt. Governor is yet to be sworn in, and we have had no word on when that will happen at this stage.

Some early criticisms have already come out about the Lt. Governor pick, alleging that it was a “spur of the moment decision” and “this nominee has no government experience” however these claims seem to have no substance or any backing as Karmen has been Chief of Staff for the Governor for some time.

Ms Strike previously worked for Weazel and CNT in different capacities and has attracted admiration from countless in the political field, with a political insider telling Weazel News. “She knows how to get the job done.” What is yet to be told is how Ms Strike will go in the position of Lt. Governor, and only time will tell.
