Articles of Impeachment Against Representative Benning Have Been Submitted
DEL PERRO (WZ) — After this morning’s dramatic events the Articles of Impeachment have been submitted by the Legislature in it’s 6th session. It cites “high crimes and misdemeanours” as the reason for impeachment.
Four counts have been listed. They are:
One count of Corruption, one count of Bribery, one count of Uttering Threats and one count of Disturbing the Peace.
The resolution has not been voted on by the Legislature however it is expected to pass with all four remaining representatives collectively introducing the resolution.
Concerns were raised shortly after the announcement made yesterday that the arrest warrant was allegedly acted out in an unlawful way. It’s alleged that the Rangers who acted on the authority of the warrant acted outside of their scope, making the arrest unlawful.
