The State Government has had more of a quiet week, with most standard proceedings continuing without any dramatic turns. The incident involving Becks Lawson is by far the most important thing that has occurred this week, you can find more about the incident below and in other articles on the Weazel News Site.

Government Town Hall

A Government town hall has been called for August 13th at 9pm. San Andreas government officials will update the public and press on the last month of office, future updates, and more.

Legislature

The Legislature has passed the resolution calling the Fall Regular Election, see more on the election on our article about the topic

The Electioneering Act (HR 030) and Code of Laws Amendment (HR 031) have been signed by the Governor. 

Voting has been conducted on  H.R. 029 – The Debt Relief Act of 2021 and H.R. 032 – The Regular Elections Act of 2021 with both passing with all 5 votes in the affirmative 

No new status for Representatives Lawsons Conflict of Interest Act (HR 034)

Becks Lawson confirmed to Weazel News that she is recovering after the awful incident where she was injured and did undergo further surgery. She was present in the last meeting of the Legislature.

Department of Commerce and Labor

The Department reminds business owners of the following;

If your fees are due in July (July 1st-July 31st 2021):

  • These fees will still need to be paid at the current listed rates in order to be pushed to the 1st of September. This is the actual due date and not the 7 days after the fact window.

If your fees are due on or after August 1st:

  • Any licence that has a payment due in August will be pushed to 1st September automatically.

Auctions for the Cats Calendar Business and Premises have concluded and were awarded to Cole Gorden. It’s understood that the premises were transferred to the Gordon Law Offices business and the Cats Calendar company was dissolved. 

The ownership of the Smoke on the Water Dispensary has closed with five applications being made. No decision has been published on the Government site as of yet.

San Andreas Flight Authority

The Flight authority released a disturbing report under their “Black Box” filing, with the confirmation that a UAP or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena was spotted on July 28th. The Document which has been heavily redacted reports that eyewitness reporting and SAFA own research has been unable to confirm the cause or origin of the UAP’s and that 400+ UAP incidents have occured.
