Dagfinn Håvard, the attempted murderer who followed principles from old Nordic tradition to carry out attempts on the lives of four people has been executed at Bolingbroke Penitentiary. The court sentencing order was carried out by Warden Mac Moody and officers from Law Enforcement departments in the state. The death of Mr. Håvard was confirmed by medical examiners at the prison shortly after the order was issued. The time of death listed (according to the official record) is 10:02pm.

The second state ordered execution in the states recent history has resurrected ethical concerns regarding the practice of state ordered capital punishment, with people on twitter comparing the actions taken by the state today to 1899’s America where members of the public would gather to watch people hung or shot.
