{"id":7577,"date":"2022-12-04T21:08:09","date_gmt":"2022-12-05T02:08:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/?p=7577"},"modified":"2022-12-04T21:08:11","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T02:08:11","slug":"state-prosecutors-issue-bounty-against-fugitive-condemned-by-doj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/index.php\/2022\/12\/04\/state-prosecutors-issue-bounty-against-fugitive-condemned-by-doj\/","title":{"rendered":"State Prosecutors Issue Bounty Against Fugitive, Condemned By DOJ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Los Santos, San Andreas &#8211; On the night of American Thanksgiving (November 25th, 2022), Senior State Prosecutor Cain Anderson of the Department of Justice (DOJ) claimed on Twitter that Harley \u201cWillow\u201d Cross, <a href=\"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/index.php\/2022\/11\/23\/bolingbroke-breakout-inmates-on-the-run\/\">one of the wanted fugitives who escaped Bolingbroke State Penitentiary<\/a>, had kidnapped Eric Alden, another State Prosecutor with the DOJ.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"292\" height=\"128\" src=\"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Tweet-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7579\" srcset=\"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Tweet-1.png 292w, https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Tweet-1-150x66.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 292px) 100vw, 292px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In this same Tweet, Anderson also announced that he would issue a reward of $45,000 for the capture of Cross, and the safety of Alden. Less than a minute later, Anderson reaffirmed this, directly specifying that this offer went to <em>anyone <\/em>who \u201cgets Eric Alden and [Harley Cross] Willow Low\u201d. After several responses from members of the public, asking for the location of these targeted individuals, Anderson states he was not aware of their exact location. Please, <strong>citizens of Los Santos<\/strong>, help us out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The images below show the tweets when&nbsp; Senior State Prosecutor Cain Anderson of the DOJ publicly claimed that the DOJ has placed a bounty of $100,000 against Harley Cross, and pleads for the members of the public (and not the Law Enforcement Agencies of the State) to pursue claiming the bounty. She claimed that all of this is purely on behalf of \u201cfriends and colleagues\u201d wanting Alden home safe, and not on behalf of any government entity. She stated in her post that they are trying to get their family member back. With at least two openly involved State Prosecutors issuing \u201cbounties\u201d against escaped fugitives with their personal funds, using the DOJ name, one must ask &#8211; &#8220;Is this legal&#8221;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We first reached out to Deputy Marshal Mitch Wheatkings, of the United States Marshal Service (USMS), for comment on these events &#8211; Specifically asking if the USMS had been contacted by Anderson, LaBeaux, or the DOJ as a whole in regards to this bounty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u201cNo one from the USMS office was contacted regarding this. I will say that this created a dangerous situation across the State where civilians were out searching for hardened criminals. Should someone get hurt, well I just don&#8217;t want to imagine the consequences.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<cite>Deputy Marshal Mitch Wheatkings &#8211; USMS<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>With this entire sequence of events centering around members of the DOJ, we also reached out to State Attorney Liam McGrath, the head of the DOJ for comment.
