According to the executive order the Commission will \u201creview the Criminal Code in its entirety and form a comprehensive rewrite for the Legislature.\u201d The Commission has the following members:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lieutenant Governor Jacob Wheeler (SALP)<\/li><li>Political Consultant Becks Lawson (P)<\/li><li>Representative Audrey Storm (P)<\/li><li>Representative Jordan Malone (P)<\/li><li>Representative James Paxton (NAPP)<\/li><li>Representative Jericho Delmonta (SALP)<\/li><li>Representative Ryan Avery (SALP)<\/li><li>Chief of the Los Santos Police Department Brandon Davis (IND.)<\/li><li>Commissioner of the San Andreas State Police Thad Furtaw (SALP)<\/li><li>Lieutenant of the Blaine County Sheriff\u2019s Office Chris Stevens (SALP)<\/li><li>State Attorney Joanna Poole (IND.)<\/li><li>Public Defender Kayla Harlaw (IND.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This brings Becks Lawson back into the Public Service after her unsuccessful re-election attempt in the last election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Appointment Papers 004: RFPHS Committee Appointments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Three people have been appointed to the Religious Freedom and Personal Health and Safety Committee established by the last congress in <a href=\"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/index.php\/2022\/03\/27\/rep-welsh-strikes-the-jugular-of-zonah-policy\/\">H.R. 109, written by Hudson Welsh<\/a>. The following have been appointed;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dr Bella Thompson, First Medical Representative<\/li><li>Chief Justice John MacLamar, First Judiciary Representative<\/li><li>Judge Dan Lighten, Second Judiciary Representative<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Order 016 &#8211; Executive Order Amendment to Order 006<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the completion of last month&#8217;s Political Polling the government has made the decision to raise the number of persons on the Pardon Commission to Five. Verbiage was also amended to allow at least one DOJ attorney and one PDO attorney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Order 017 &#8211; San Andreas Major Events Committee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This order creates the Major Events Committee which \u201coversees the planning of Government-sponsored events for all Government departments.\u201d The membership contains five volunteers organised by the Secretary of State.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Order 018 &#8211; Declaration of an Emergency &#8211; San Andreas Judiciary Staffing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Breaking News: for the first time in history, the government has declared a State of Emergency exists in San Andreas because of \u201cthe Staffing situation in the San Andreas Judiciary.\u201d The emergency declaration allows the Legislature to take extraordinary actions to address the staffing issue inside the Judiciary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement by Governor McKenzie \u201cThe Judiciary is a key element of a functioning legal system and without the proper staffing, the entirety of the state suffers. By passing this state of emergency, I am giving the Legislation the power to correct a limitation of our Constitution that is blocking the Judiciary unnecessarily from considering a specific pool of applicants.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive order will expire on the 26th unless extended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of Judges have been appointed recently with four Circuit Court Judges nominations being issued since the beginning of this Congress. Those being;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Alfie Young (Nomination Successful)<\/li><li>Rowan Carmichael (Nomination Successful)<\/li><li>Dan Lighten (Nomination Successful;) and<\/li><li>Corina Ivanov (Nomination Pending.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday Evening, James Paxton and Jericho Delmonta introduced H.R. 135 which would change the constitution to include equally accredited out of state Bar Association applicability for judiciary nominations, circumnavigating the rule that requires all judges to be a member of the San Andreas Bar association for at least one month. However the bill doesn&#8217;t address H.R. 106 which would still prevent new appointments for the&nbsp; Magistrate District Court as the law requires new Magistrate Judge nominees to be in the Bar Association for at least three months. The Bill has yet to be voted on or signed into law. The bill is exempt from the seven day consultation period due to the emergency executive order.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government has also announced a Town Hall on the 26th of June at 9 PM.
