Here is our rundown:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H.R. 104 &#8211; The Clarification of Government Property Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Act which amends the San Andreas Criminal Code has passed with all four representatives voting in favor of the bill.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill amends the definition of \u2018Possession of Government Property\u2019 to \u201cincludes any property issued to a government employee for the purposes of their job, including (but not limited to) government badges, medical equipment, police department weapons and equipment, or keys to an armored vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H.R. 105 &#8211; The Victim&#8217;s Rights Act of 2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first bill introduced by Audrey Storm (P)\u00a0establishes the \u201cVictims&#8217; Rights\u201d requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The right to be informed about the conviction, sentencing, imprisonment, release of the offender, and all other court proceedings related to the offense<\/li><li>The right to give a Victim&#8217;s Impact Statement at sentencing<\/li><li>The right to an order of restitution from the offender once convicted<\/li><li>The right to be informed of these rights<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill was voted on in the 7th session and was voted in by all representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H.R. 107 &#8211; The Weapons Attachment Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This bill was introduced by both Progress Party Members. It prohibits the possession of illegally imported supresiors or extended magazines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill was voted on in the 7th session and succeeded 3-1 with Representative Welsh and the Labor Party voting against the bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>H.R. 108-109 were introduced by Representative Hudson Welsh of the Labor Party. Read more about these bills <a href=\"https:\/\/weazel-news.online\/index.php\/2022\/03\/27\/rep-welsh-strikes-the-jugular-of-zonah-policy\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4748\">here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H.R. 111 &#8211; Amendments to H.R. 99 &#8211; The Bail Reform Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This bill introduced by Becks Lawson (P) is an amendment bill to the Bail Reform Act. It augments some definitions regarding bail and clarifies what a licensed \u2018fugitive recovery person\u2019 can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H.R. 112 &#8211; The San Andreas Self Defense Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This topical bill was introduced by both the Progress and Labor Parties.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It creates the &#8220;castle doctrine&#8221; in this state, allowing people to &#8220;stand their ground&#8221; against armed intruders. The act waives the requirement of &#8220;Duty to Retreat&#8221;, which is a requirement to flee or attempt to flee before using self-defense as a last resort in these circumstances. The American &#8220;RAND Corporation&#8221;, which is a US policy think tank founded in 2018, wrote \u201cThere is moderate evidence that stand-your-ground laws may increase homicide rates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill is in its public consultation period and has not been voted on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DEL PERRO (WZL) \u2014 The Legislature has met and voted on a range of critical bills, as well as introducing a number of new bills.
