Do you like Halloween?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you do, I hope you didn\u2019t miss the Halloween event that happened on Friday night at the Yellow Jack. They celebrated Halloween early with a costume contest, Lurcher raffle, Halloween music, and free candy! The vendors there gave out candy. Who doesn\u2019t like a little treat during all the tricks? I made a very early appearance at the event when I went to set up tables and chairs for the fun before it started, and I got a glimpse of some of the cool costumes people were wearing. It feels surreal that we\u2019re going into the last third of the year already!<\/p>\n\n\n

A Judicious Judiciary (in Erin\u2019s words)\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Recent confusion surrounding expungements in the State of San Andreas has led to a clarification from the Judiciary this past week on just that subject. This was brought on by the denial of the expungement appeal for Reggie Casadei<\/a> that was reached on July 15, 2023. While this is good news for those seeking a second chance for a second time, an expungement may not be guaranteed. Each appeal is unique and it\u2019s up to those presiding over them to reach a fair decision. Read more on this topic with The Daily Globe\u2019s coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cPer written Judicial Policy<\/a>, there is no limit to how many expungements a person may receive in San Andreas. However, each time a person appeals for an
expungement, the judge presiding over may be more strict in their criteria for
granting one. Expungements are not a right; they are a privilege. When these
privileges are squandered, the Judiciary must take this into account. A complete wipe of a criminal record is a very powerful thing and should be taken very seriously.\u201d
