Treats For All!

We love a good snack, and so do the dogs! On Friday, the K9s had their snack contest where eight businesses competed to create the yummiest treats! There is no one more qualified for the job than the K9s themselves to be the judges, so K9 Winston, Kai, Luna, and Helios were there to do the taste testing. (I was told that humans stepped in as the judges for the tiebreakers, but that’s less exciting.)

In third place was the team from Sugar Snout. In second place was the team at Craft Bar and Eatery with their Golden Star Treats, which features chicken liver, green beans, and chickpea flour as its key ingredients. Owner Chesty Knox told me that they’re soft-baked for the safety of dog’s teeth and are even veterinarian-approved. In first place was the ArCola and Soda Science Team. They created a dog smoothie, known as Rover Refresher, which is a blend of yogurt, coconut sugar, almond butter, and peanut butter, topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with sunflower seeds and diced apple (no seeds). The three winning teams received a trophy and their treats will be sold at Paw and Order! How exciting! Congratulations!

We Like To See Them Stats…

Harry Kennedy is great for having those PolitiPolls and I’m glad that continue to exist over at Shout News because this past week we got to see what the final thoughts on Former Governor Ella Bright-Starr were. You can all go over there and see for yourselves, but are you surprised at the approval rating after her guilty verdict?

Speaking of Governor…

Quinn Lilegard-Marino was sworn in as Governor by Magistrate Rajesh Gupta on July 22nd. The comments in Shout News’ article seem unhappy about it and worried that Governor Quinn will be hiding under Do Not Disturb, but perhaps you’re just unlucky because I ran into her last night and she washed my car without saying anything. I guess Anon and I just live in different worlds lol.

Shout News has it covered. You want a shooting? They got it. You want people getting stuck? They got it. You want a shooting because of drugs? They got it! To counter whatever is happening in that part of the news…

The San Andreas Medical Services is offering employment opportunities for those interested in becoming doctors and/or nurses. They are having doctor and nursing academy sessions at Upper Pillbox starting on Monday, July 29th, through the following Saturday, August 10th. They don’t require you to have any medical education background because they will teach you what you need to know. What’s most important is your willingness to learn! So, if you think you have what it takes, you should definitely give it a shot!

Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…

I know I talked about beekeeping last week, but I don’t think it hurts to talk about it again because it’s for the best. If you’re going to be doing some beekeeping, I highly recommend that you utilize the public parking available at the PAW farm instead of parking directly beside the beehives. Do you really think it’s healthy for the bees to be that close to your car exhaust? Do you think the bees care about how cool your cars look? You can complain about how little honeycomb you get, but you can’t even bother to care about the well-being of the bees who work hard to produce those honeycombs for you to collect for your own profit. Get it together! 

When you turn into the driveway at the PAW farm, you’ll see a blue-ish barn on your right. Drive towards the crafting table there, and you’ll be fine. Get your steps in for the day instead of turning the beehive area into a drive-thru!
