Stella’s Scoops Volume 76

Oh, hey, San Andreas! Rhylee is taking over this week! Throughout this week, I had a pattern of looking for things, starting off at the SAPD Geocache Launch Event to the Southside Community Center Scavenger Hunt. But in the end, it was so much fun. There was also some movement throughout the week, with the current Congress bringing in a Chief of Staff and Secretary of State.

SAPD Geocache Launch Event

Have you ever heard of Geocaching? It’s a super fun activity to do with friends outdoors. Geocaching is like an outdoor treasure hunt, where you are typically given either coordinates or hints to find the geocache box. If you are lucky enough to find one of the geocaches, you sign the date for finding it and your name, then take an item from the box and leave another item behind. The clues that the San Andreas Parks Department gave out was a booklet with photos from around that state’s locations. It sounds pretty simple, but let me tell you, finding a specific tree when there are no landmarks to help determine where to go gets difficult! I almost gave up while looking, but after some persistence and encouragement from a friend, I found one! It was so cool! It was a really fun but frustrating time, and enjoying the outdoors for a while was nice.

The 10th Congress Is Getting It Done!

The 10th Congress has been in office for a few weeks now. During these weeks, they have brought in a Chief of Staff, Jade Storm, and a Secretary of State, Lilith Eza-Ripley. While I was not able to attend Jade Storm’s swearing-in, but I did attend Secretary of State Lilth Eza-Ripley’s. You can read more about the duties of a Secretary of State and Chief of Staff on the Executive Forms and Information page, and you can watch Secretary of State Lilth Eza-Ripley’s swearing-in ceremony here.

Did you attend the Scarlet Valkyries MC Pride Ride & Drag Show? I was unable to either, but Billie Eagley, a contributor for Weazel News, attended! They were able to gather some photos of the event. Enjoy!

Southside Community Center Scavenger Hunt

The Southside Community Center Scavenger Hunt was so much fun! I teamed up with a couple of friends, and we were the Screet Team. There were a handful of teams and solos participating in the scavenger hunt. Ironically, the first-place winner was a solo participant on the team named Dead Last. They won a comet! Screet Team, my team, got second place. It was a pleasure being able to join the hunt, and I am super grateful for those who put it all together. We all had a blast BMX-ing around Southside on the hunt!

Rhylee’s Recommendation of the Week…

Gratitude is often overlooked and underappreciated by many. So, my recommendation to you is to practice gratitude. Whether you keep a journal and write down things, you are grateful for each day or tell others how appreciative you are to have them in your life. Not only will those close to you truly understand and appreciate you, but doing so will help you achieve happiness and improve your overall outlook.

Have a Stella Day and a hardcore night, San Andreas!
