Rockford Hills, Los Santos – In a surprising announcement, State Representative Artemis Blackthorne issued a press release early Monday morning. Citing they are “not a good fit” for the position of Secretary of the Legislature, they’ve decided to relinquish the role effective immediately. This has left the 9th Congress without a secretary for the time being.
Section II – Legislative Branch, Subsection IV – Roles within the State Legislature of the Constitution of the State of San Andreas lists several responsibilities of the Secretary of the Legislature:
Who in the Legislature will step up to take on this important responsibility? Stay tuned to Weazel News for updates on this developing story.

FROM THE DESK OF ARTEMIS BLACKTHORNE STATE REPRESENTATIVE
Rockford Hills (City Hall) — Effective immediately, I have made the decision to relinquish the role of Secretary of the Legislature. This comes after a good deal of thought and consideration, after examining the beginnings of this term. It has become clear to me that I am not a good fit to serve as Secretary of the Legislature for the 9th Congress – To me, the Secretary should be capable of attending most if not all Legislative Meetings, not only to serve as a good example, but also to ensure that the meeting notes are taken and taken by the Secretary themselves, and not passed along to them by another who was able to attend.
I have no input on which of my colleagues should take my place as Secretary, but I am sure whoever takes the role shall do an incredible job.
Have an amazing day,
Artemis Blackthorne, State Representative
