Paleto Bay, San Andreas – In a significant step towards environmental rejuvenation, the San Andreas Rangers announced a large-scale tree planting initiative set to commence this weekend. This ambitious project, funded by the Tech & Sons architecture firm, aims to plant a vast number of saplings throughout San Andreas, and is seeking public participation to make this green dream a reality.

The Paleto Ranger Station received a substantial delivery of saplings Friday afternoon, gearing up for a weekend of intensive planting. Volunteers are encouraged to join this environmental revitalization effort, with the promise of making a tangible difference in the local ecosystem. San Andreas is an island state, and as such, we only have our existing flora and fauna, so it’s very important to help support the ecosystem by planting more trees to support reforestation.

Tech & Sons, known for their commitment to sustainable practices, are at the forefront of this project. Their collaboration with the San Andreas Park Rangers underscores a shared vision for environmental stewardship and responsible community engagement. We reached out to Tech & Sons for a statement; however, none was available at the time of publication.

Community members wishing to participate can visit the Ranger Station headquarters in Paleto Bay to collect a box of saplings. They will be directed to various planned zones within the forest, where they can contribute to the planting effort!

During a brief interview with Head Ranger Charlie Morgan, he mentioned that we have lost many of our trees due to deforestation, and this project will help rebuild our population of trees, the environmental impacts should be mostly positive, and we can expect some species of Flora and Fauna to migrate to other parts of the state. With the current planting map, we should not expect to see large tree canopies, which can be dangerous for existing plants, “It’ll be a nice mix of tree coverage and places not too densely packed.”

The San Andreas Parks Department surveyed multiple areas throughout the state, and through laboratory analysis, they determined multiple types of saplings, such as pine trees, redwoods, birch and more could thrive in San Andreas. While not all trees may take hold and flourish, the wide variety will certainly positively impact our ecosystem.

As of this reporting, over 107 boxes have been collected from the SAPD HQ in Paleto, with each box containing 10 saplings, over 1,000 saplings have been planted. Not all will survive with weathering, spacing, and other factors; however, there is a clear effort by the volunteer community to see this project grow.
