Master of Ceremonies, Larry Tate. (Photo Credit: Stella Day)
If you missed the inauguration, on Saturday 14th May, you missed one of the strangest inaugurations I’ve ever been to (I’ve only been to one). You may have heard the phrase ‘democracy in action’, and it was definitely a sight to behold. Larry Tate, as the Master of Ceremonies, led the event, giving multiple shout outs to SCHMUCK clothing, Ari’s Deli, and others.
We have photos of the candidates each swearing their oaths, thanks to my wonderful friend and colleague Stella Day.
Norman Wren – State Representative
Jimmie Dimmick – State Representative
Morrigan Ford – State Representative
Jon Chambers – State Representative
Damien Key – Lieutenant Governor
You’ll notice that two were missing, Tavlar Frostfell and Ryyan Avery. The former I will explain later, but the latter was on a flight to Cayo Perico, and a pre-recorded message was played at the inauguration. It seems our new governor was already working for the state! For your listening pleasure:
After the new State Representatives and Lieutenant Governor had been sworn in, our newly elected officials were invited to give short speeches. I have photos and a quote from Morrigan Ford, who said ‘Unfortunately the sword guy couldn’t be here today.’ She was referencing Mr Frostfell who, again, I’ll come back to shortly.
After that, the previous Lieutenant Governor, Adrian Jax, thanked the law enforcement officers in attendance, as Larry Tate would not.
As this was happening, my dear and first friend, Clayton Greene-Tugelbend, texted me. He said they were not letting Tavlar Frostfell in due to the swords he has attached to his hips. I have heard they can not be removed and that this is a point of trauma for the winter king. Anyway, I ran outside, and this is what I saw:
In the face of twenty protesters, the law enforcement present asked the crowd to back up, demanding the protesters leave the area. The crowd argued back, stating that Tavlar Frostfell was their duly elected State Representative and that he must be allowed to enter so he may swear his oath to the people and San Andreas. The police K9s present proceeded to become aggressive at this point (one growled at me when I moved to get a better angle), and the situation was clearly escalating. This continued until, like a beacon of hope in glimmering red silk, Justice Corina Wickin stepped through the line of police into the crowd, stating that she would simply swear Tavlar Frostfell in in the parking lot.
The pair spoke for a while, and Eddie Euckland livestreamed the entire ordeal before Tavlar was sworn in as a State Representative of San Andreas.
Weazel News was also given downloaded copies of Eddie Euckland’s videos, so thank you, Eddie! You may view them here:
After the hubbub, the inauguration seemed to be a success, after all. Until next time, San Andreas.
