Happy Mother’s Day!

We got some wildly growing families in this state. Don’t forget to treat your mother(s) to something special today. Whatever makes you two related, show appreciation by giving her a hug, a gift, or even kind words.

DOGS!

There were three dogs at the inauguration, which took place at the Vinewood Bowl. Fish, Luna, and Scout borked borked around the place when Erin and I arrived early before people started showing up. Fish seemed to get excited at the mention of Yam, who is the doggo at Pillbox. Most people seem to be afraid of Luna. And Scout growled at Annie during the protest stuff. I rate these dogs a five out of three.

New Congress, Who Dis?

Speaking of which, the five state representatives and Lieutenant Governor Damien Key were sworn in. Tavlar had to be sworn in outside at the parking lot instead of onstage because of his swords. Will exceptions be made for him at all upcoming government events where the no-weapon policy is in place, or will he just have to start bringing a lounge chair and camp outside until people go to him? Anyway, Ryry wasn’t there because he was over at Cayo Perico hanging out with Juan Pablo DeLaRosa. He was sworn in this evening by Associate Justice Kylian Clarkson. The state representatives had their first meeting right after the inauguration, and they sorted out who will be Speaker, Secretary, and Treasurer for the term. Looks like the 7th Congress is getting things going right away!

Eclipse Marketplace…

Two weeks ago, I saw a sign in the Eclipse apartments garage for what seemed like someone selling bands. Underneath it, LSPD responded, saying that they’d be in touch. Did they ever get in touch? What’s the update on the situation? I’m curious!

Bands are the only thing on the market. We apparently also have someone selling heavy drills. I feel like we’re watching the start of the Eclipse neighborhood marketplace growing. Next thing we know, there’ll be a group chat for the marketplace with photos of the items. After that, we’ll be seeing Mirror Park or Paleto having their own marketplaces. With the housing market slowly opening up again, there are going to be so many lively neighborhoods throughout the state, and they could all have their own marketplaces.

Someone selling a potted plant? Your next-door neighbor, Kelsey, has one too many in her bathroom and needs to get rid of it. Someone selling hand-me-downs? Greg from down the block is finally cleaning out his grandma’s closet. Whatever is going on, I think there’s an unofficial neighborhood marketplace sprouting, and I’m really curious about how this will continue with time.

Thank You, Hospital!

There were many San Andreas Medical Services (SAMS) events this week, including blood drives and games. Bingo was on Wednesday, sandwiched between three days of blood drives and partying. The Nightingale Concert was on Friday night with tons of artists and DJs. Closing out the week of SAMS events was the SAMS Games, which included Ventoso jousting and bumper cars. I reached out to Seraphine from SAMS, and she’s going to get back to me on how the week went later. All the blood for all the injured, and maybe vampires too (unconfirmed)!

Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…

This week, I’m recommending you all go touch some grass. It has been a strange week between things happening on Twitter and out in the community. Go get some fresh air and take a moment to reflect on the week. Think about what you’re looking forward to in the new week. What can we do to check in on ourselves? What about checking in on our friends and families? Get close to Mother Nature and show her some appreciation. Also, make sure to call Niko McReary for advice on touching the grass. Have a Stella Day and a hardcore night, San Andreas!
