Stella DayNew Parks Division…
The San Andreas Parks Department announced a new division: the Parks Division. H.R. 236 was signed into law on Wednesday, and the article with the press release was released Thursday. This means there is now a special division to educate and promote awareness of wildlife and the environment. They can provide more specialized support in our parks without the law enforcement responsibilities. I think it’s such a great change because we’re like one step closer to a Parks and Rec episode.
While the parks department recently finished up with a hiring wave, if you’re interested, you should definitely find out how to get involved in supporting their mission and be on the lookout for future job postings by visiting their website: sastateparks.org. Even if you don’t care, you should visit the website and admire the beautiful-looking site. They also have free phone backgrounds available for download!
Having a Ball at the Corner Pocket
Corner Pocket has been around for a while, but they finally had their grand opening event! It was a mix of both a tournament and a concert. It was a singles tournament with thirteen players. Nine (IX) took home first place with $9,100, and Dakota Rodgers won second place with a $3,900 cash prize. g h o s t opened up the concert portion with eight songs, some of which will be on her upcoming EP. Jason Tanners performed a song that won’t be released until months from now and closed his set with the classic Hallelujah. Damien Daniels got the vibes and even performed as part of the Certified Lover Boys. (Scroll to the bottom bit if you want to learn more about the Certified Lover Boys.) The one and only Lulu Moon performed like nine songs, including an acapella, which was amazing. After the performers, DJ B Mak dj’d until the final winners were determined. If I were to rate this event, it was solid, not striped.
Determined to Have Fun…
The official first Food Truck Friday took place on, obviously, Friday night. Despite the stormy weather, people still came out to enjoy the food and music. DJ Spooky played music until a crowd started to gather before bringing everyone’s attention to the rooftop where Lucas White performed. After he performed, DJ FOXI3 entertained the late-night dancers. Brimstone, Cream Pie, Stella Melon, Craft Bar and Eatery, Saucy’s Taqueria, and Bishop’s Chicken kept the people fed and hydrated so they could enjoy the fun. Truck or trunk, the food and drinks will be there!
Stop Ruining Good Things…
You probably didn’t even know about this since it hasn’t even been twenty-four hours. There were open houses in the city for people to check out the different floorplans that will be available once the housing market opens, but apparently, people were vandalizing the homes, so now Dynasty Realty has closed all the open houses for the unforeseeable future. Why do some of you have to be like this?
Ride or Die, But Like Not…
I actually finally watched my first Ventoso jousting tournament. It took me months to finally see it live. I got to watch eight people try to kick each other off Ventosos. Dante Gravina-Reed came out on top, followed by Cowboy Hat in second, and Lucas White and Nathan Stone tied for third. They kept tying that even a round with consensual weapons could not get us a clear winner. Ventoso jousting was not the only thing at the Knight Rider Festival. There were also bumper cars and the BMX park available for use. A notable quote that Annie was able to get from Karmen McKenzie is as follows.
“We had some alterations done to the BMX track to make it more user-friendly. It’s easier to get your bikes in and out, and it’s harder to land your bike in the Wicked parking lot.”

Besides vehicles, there were plenty of vendors from Vespucci present. There’s such a diverse range of businesses in the Vespucci area, from tattoos to food to photography to what-have-you. I don’t know why it took me till now to realize that. You can basically stay in Vespucci forever and be entertained for a good while.
Not A Joke…
No joke, Shadowcade had a rave last night on April Fool’s Day. Loomis entertained the dancing crowd, and guests were able to play the arcade games. They now have candy, pizza rolls, and ramune drinks there as well. Black Saya sword thingies are also back in stock, but that wasn’t announced, so if you want one, go get one.
Speaking of April Fool’s…
Did you fall for the McKenzie Entreprise prank? I thought it was pretty believable because it wasn’t far-fetched. Quokkas are cute, so I’m down for them to have a new mascot. On the real, they’re sticking with the otterly route. Apparently, the PD Pantos were also a prank. I think they’re cute, too, so I’d want to keep them around. Way cuter than when Weeny Tamworths filled the state. Were this year’s pranks just wholesome, or was I just lucky to miss the not-so-great pranks?
FFF aka Fight For Fun…
A little late to this, but Blood Night Bouts (BNB) had their Prize event last month. It was basically a bunch of new fighters interested in getting into the fighting scene. Loomis performed between rounds. Also, last Sunday, BNB did their Championship finals. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend, but I got fitted for a cast. I heard it was really fun, and part of me wishes I had been there and not the hospital.
Who Are All These Stella People…
Where are these other Stella’s coming from? I knew of like one or two other Stella’s in the state, and then once I started writing the Scoops, more Stella’s popped up. It is kinda weird because while I know all you other Stella’s exist, I only met one Stella for the first time last night. I went living my life for so long, and I’ve never met any of you (unless I forgot) until just yesterday. So who are you, and what do you do?
Upcoming Events:
- April 7th @ 2PM – 2AM ET: The Hub Block Party
- April 8th @ 4PM ET: Wicked Motors Car Meet
- April 8th @ 6PM ET: Blue Bionic’s Bioniversary Bash
- April 8th @ 9PM ET: CLOUT Red Carpet Event
Stella’s Recommendation of the Week…
Have you heard the song with the “ding ding” noises? PAX, also known as Nicholai Solemko, calls it the mason jar beat. You can hear this beat in PAX’s Lick. Lick was inspired by gangster rap music about getting money. I learned that the term is lingo for robbery. Interestingly, PAX puts himself in others’ shoes to write songs as a method acting strategy. It helps influence his emotions which he then channels those feelings into words and puts them into songs. Depending on the day, he might also smoke some joints and let the thoughts flow into his songs. For the deep songs, it’s very important for him to channel emotions, whereas, for the more simple songs, he likes to have fun putting words together like a puzzle. PAX’s favorite line from Lick is, “I just copped a watch broke the bank from the taxes on it / but gotta bring it back when I’m done so keep the tag up on it.” He said it stands out to him because it’s about having the watch, which is a flex, but then he had to return it because he couldn’t afford it. Unfortunately, this money-hungry world won’t let him flex.
PAX was actually freshly signed with KOKORO when Slide was released. It’s a catchy song with a good cadence that introduced him to the state’s music scene. He got the opportunity to be featured on aiko!’s i’m not upset, which is a great song. This also introduced him to other artists in the city, and now he’s in a boy band called Certified Lover Boys. They just released their first single, Bad Energy, on Friday. They have a few more singles coming out every Friday before the release of their self-titled EP. After the Certified Lover Boys EP comes out, PAX will release his own singles, which will hopefully be compiled into an album.
There are so many artists PAX wants to collab with, including Mykie Romance, Lulu Moon, and Jason Tanners. A couple of artists have also reached out to him, so hopefully, we’ll hear something with DJ FOXI3, Piper Riggs, and DJ Spooky. The music community here is very extensive, and there will always be someone PAX can work with and try out new genres. In the meantime, you might find PAX “hitting the gritty” between songwriting and performing. He hits the “fast gritty” when crossing the street and the “slow gritty” when on stage. He told me he learns a lot of dance moves from social media, so we’ll have to see what other moves he will pick up and show off around the city. You can listen to songs from PAX on Soundcloud, including his latest remix of Bang Bang, and maybe hit the gritty while you listen.
Have a Stella Day and a Hardcore night, San Andreas!
