DEL PERRO (WZ) — Rides, food and plenty of fun, but with an important message about Breast Cancer Awareness.
On Thursday the Del Perro Pier Fun Fair took off with rollercoasters, a Ferris wheel and food vendors all over the event. Easily 100+ were at the fair at any given time with people enjoying the entertainment from the vendors of the many carnival rides. Unfortunately the roller coaster and Ferris wheel had some issues, however mechanics quickly got to work on fixing the issues.
Businesses like Remington Jewelry and Ari’s Diner were in attendance with special items. Remington had a special limited edition Pink Sapphire ring, necklace and bracelet available.
The message of the event was Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast Cancer is a deadly disease which affects thousands across the world each year. It’s important to get regular testing if you are at risk or notice any unusual changes.
Unfortunately, three injuries were sustained when two fell from the top of the Drop Tower and one fell off the rollercoaster. One of the injuries was due to poor behavior with a person getting out of their seat and climbing onto the top of the tower poll. Medical Services did attend all three; their statuses are unknown. Weazel News reminds festival goers to stay in their seats on the rides.
