This week has been a rollercoaster ride of News, from Pride celebrations earlier in the week, to the death of Representative Evan Lee and the calling for a special election to fill the seat which opened.
State representatives have attended multiple events across the state, From the Los Santos Pride Parade, and Kraken Cove TV show.
Representative Paxton was seen at the Pride Parade and at the Pride Parade After Party.

In his release the Government explains it’s position and what’s contained in the laws that have been passed.
The Legislature after their emergency Press Conference passed two new bills, one to amend portions of the San Andreas Criminal Code, and the other to include the Chamber of Commerce in parts of other legislation, including the FOIA laws and in the Government Act.
H.R. 021 – Amendments to the San Andreas Criminal Code,
This bill, when signed by the Governor, amends multiple sections of the San Andreas Criminal Code.
This bill changes line after line of sentencing guidelines for things like Manslaughter and the types of Murder, all increasing the maximum sentence time by small amounts.
It also adds new charges such as Unlawful Practice of Medicine, Fraud and False Identification.
Drug laws are altered with the definition of a unit of a drug being explained in further detail
Traffic laws have been expanded with a set of “Obstructive Flow” laws being added such as Walking or Riding a Bicycle on a Freeway and new laws surrounding Unroadworthy Vehicles.
The maximum penalty for Animal Cruelty has been upped to $1000.
A petition was sent around on twitter yesterday for the charge of Animal Cruelty to have a jail sentence.
This bill has passed the legislature and received 2 votes from the current legislature. It has not been signed by the Governor.
H.R. 022 – The Transparency in Commerce Act of 2021
This bill, when signed by the Governor, will add mention of the Chamber of Commerce to H.R. 001, H.R. 003 and H.R. 006.
It also expands Business Owner rights by allowing an appeal process for licence suspension or termination.
This bill has passed the legislature and received 2 votes from the current legislature. It has not been signed by the Governor.
Finally, an urgent press conference was called at 12:15am yesterday morning announcing the death of Representative Evan Lee under suspicious circumstances. Resolution H.R. 20 has passed the legislature calling a special election with voting from the 9th until the 11th. At this time the resolution is awaiting a final action from the Secretary of State to call the election.
