Four Local Heroes Killed in IED Explosion Overseas

Tragedy has hit Los Santos, yesterday it was found out that four local boys from Vespucci Canals were found killed in a destroyed convoy from an IED convoy overseas. All four boys were born and raised in Los Santos and joined the Marine Corps to help defend the country. They were all well known and beloved throughout the Vespucci community along with Los Santos as a whole. Our condolences go out to the families of Alan Cupps, Jerry Meyers, Josh Hawkins, and Hunter Bail.

Alan Cupps
1993-2018

He is survived by his spouse of two years Christine Cupps, and his child Justin Cupps.

He is preceded by his father Lewis Cupps, his mother Melady Cupps, his two brothers Kevin Cupps, and James Cupps.

Alan was an avid fisherman and farmer. A former Strong Safety for the Vespucci High School Baracudas Football Team. A beloved and thoughtful individual known for his generosity and kindness. A man that joined the Marines to defend his home and to be a part of something bigger than himself. He had a devotion to Los Santos aid for kids shelters around the community. He will be missed by all friends that shared fond memories with the young man.

Jerry Meyers
1994-2018

He is preceded by his Father Gerald Meyers, his mother Dorthy Meyers, and his siblings Karren Meyers, Marry Meyers, and Richard Meyers.

Jerry was an avid hiker and volunteer of the community of Los Santos. A former coaches assistant for the Vespucci High School Baracudas football team. A free spirit of Los Santos, well known for his consistent presence in multiple homeless shelters, youth groups, and food shelters. His main goal in life was to make other lives easier while living a plentiful life.

Josh Hawkins
1994-2018

He is survived by his spouse of five years Taylor Hawkins, and two children Hunter Hawkins(4), and Ian Hawkins(2).

He is preceded by his father James Hawkins, his mother Carmine Hawkins, his siblings Crystal Hawkins, Cooper Hawkins, Joe Hawkins, and Elizabeth Hawkins.

Josh was a beloved member of the community, well known for his smile and laugh of joy. A former QuarterBack for the Vespucci High School Baracudas football team. Josh was seen as a natural leader wherever he went. Making sure others were okay and well taken care of. Josh was a well spoken and respectful young man. His mark is still felt in Los Santos even after his passing.

Hunter Bail
1994-2018

He is survived by his partner of eight years Carina Lupo.

He is preceded by his adoptive father Ian Cross, his mother Jennifer Bail, and his brother Zakkary Bail.

Hunter was an avid motorcyclist. A former Linebacker and running back for the Vespucci High School Baracuda Football team. Hunter was always around his group of people and brought a light into their lives that healed many around him. Hunter joined the Marines to have a bigger purpose in life.

Their legacies will never be forgotten, along with their ultimate sacrifice to defend the country they loved most.
